2014 Dignitaries Announced
The Shamrock Club of New Dublin are proud to announce the 2014 Irish Man and Irish Rose for 2014 Carrie & Larry Katerzynske. They have both been very active for many years and are very deserving of the honor. Carrie (Palmer) has been our Public Relations Director for the past several years and gets our event news out to the public, answers publicity requests and serves on the Poster committee among many other things. Larry has been our Treasurer for the past several years and does a wonderful job as well as helping out with many of our other activities. His name may not be Irish but he does has Scottish roots, from his mother’s maiden name of Walker, which can be traced back to Fife, Scotland.
The Grand Marshall this year is Donna Coyle, a very well known name in New Dublin as most of you familiar with us know. Mike her husband was a charter member of our organization and was in charge of Finnegan’s Wake since the beginning. Sadly, we lost Mike last year after a courageous battle with cancer and Donna selflessly had been supportive of her husband and our activities. We love her dearly and are very proud to have her represent us as Parade Grand Marshall this year.
Our Parade Judges this year are 3 members of the Coyle Clan: Diane Coyle, Paula (Coyle) Ort and Beth (Coyle) Hutchison. They are a great addition to our dignitary list and we have no doubt they will do a wonderful job and keep that Dignitary Stand lively and warm.
We congratulate all of our dignitaries and are hoping for good weather this year for the Parade on March 22 after this long winter.
Please watch for further in depth articles on our dignitaries and events in the Waupaca County Post in the near future.
