NO Irish Caroling this week. ALL OTHER 2022 EVENTS GO ON AS PLANNED
If you recognize the cover of this Songbook, it’s probably because you have have held one as you joined the Irish caroling. I need to get the word out that, due to lingering effects of Covid, I will NOT be able to lead singing at St Joseph Residence or Franklin Park apartments this year. Although the flyer put out by the Shamrock Club states we are having it, a final decision was made to cancel that part of the week’s events. WEDNESDAY CAROLING IN 2022 IS CANCELLED.
I cannot in good conscience bring even a small group of singers into the facility where our most vulnerable and fragile citizens reside. Yes, it will be a disappointment, but not nearly as sad as even one resident becoming sick following our singing. Please pass the word to anyone you know who has carolled in other years. Let’s find an outside location to practice our songs this summer, and look forward to caroling inside in 2023.
